As a travel advisor, with a deep passion for exploring the world, I’ve had the privilege of experiencing a myriad of destinations and cruise lines. However, my recent sailing on the Disney Magic stands out as one of the best vacations I’ve ever had. The combination of Disney’s enchanting magic and the thrill of a high-seas adventure made this trip truly unforgettable.
The Perfect Size for Adventure and Convenience
The Disney Magic is one of the smaller ships in Disney’s fleet, but don’t let its size fool you! The ship is packed with entertainment, activities, and dining options, ensuring that every moment is filled with fun and excitement. Despite its smaller size, the ship’s layout is incredibly convenient, making it easy to navigate from one end to the other. This was particularly beneficial for our family, as we could quickly move between the various activities and dining venues without feeling overwhelmed or lost.
Stateroom Types: Accommodations on the Disney Magic are designed with comfort and style in mind. From cozy interior staterooms to spacious suites with verandahs, there is a room category to suit every family’s needs and budget. Each stateroom is tastefully appointed with Disney-themed décor and modern amenities to ensure a relaxing retreat after a day of adventure.
Endless Entertainment for All Ages
One of the highlights of our journey was the variety of entertainment options available onboard; From Broadway-quality shows featuring beloved Disney characters to engaging activities for kids, teens, and adults, there was never a dull moment. The themed deck parties, character meet-and-greets, and first-run movies added to the magical experience, ensuring that every member of the family had something special to look forward to each day. Once onboard, just check the Navigator App and you will be amazed.
1. Cove Cafe: Adults can unwind in this tranquil coffee shop and lounge, offering specialty coffees, teas, and cocktails in a relaxing atmosphere. They do have some delicious pastries here too!
2. Keys: Enjoy live music and a sophisticated cocktail menu at this piano bar inspired by the legend of the Flying Dutchman. My husband and I enjoyed some pre and post dinner drinks here in the evening. In the day they often held family craft time here.
3. Signals: This adults-only poolside bar is the perfect spot to sip on tropical cocktails and enjoy stunning ocean views. This was an awesome area to get away and have “date” time on the ship. We happily dropped the kids at the Oceaneers Club (to hang with Thor) and headed to the adult pool.
4. Fathoms: We were her at least once a day! So many activities are scheduled here, including some of my favorites: silent disco and game shows! During the day there were really fun family activities and after dinner fun adult shows featuring trivia and newlywed type games! We laughed about how much time we spent here!
Kids Clubs:
The Disney Magic’s kids clubs are a dream come true for young passengers. The Oceaneer Club and Oceaneer Lab provide a fun and interactive environment where children can engage in age-appropriate activities led by trained youth counselors. From arts and crafts to digital adventures, kids will never run out of things to do while parents enjoy some well-deserved relaxation time. Our kids LOVED meeting some of their favorite characters while there and the activities! The Oceaneer Club and Lab did have a hallway connecting the two that was open at certain times for the kids to go between based on their interests. They made friends and plans to meet back up there later on. A highlight for both of my kids was making slime with Stitch!!
It’s a Small World Nursery where infants and young toddlers are cared for in a magical, secure environment filled with Disney-themed activities and cozy nap areas.
Vibe is an exclusive teen club offering a cool, modern space with activities, games, and social events designed to engage and entertain teens while they make new friends and enjoy the cruise experience.
Exceptional Dining Experiences
Dining on the Disney Magic was a culinary delight. The ship’s rotational dining system allowed us to experience different themed restaurants each night, each offering a unique menu and atmosphere. Whether we were dining in the elegant Lumiere’s, the whimsical Animator’s Palate, or the vibrant Rapunzel’s Royal Table, the food was always exceptional, and the service was impeccable. The variety and quality of the cuisine exceeded our expectations, catering to both kids and adults with diverse tastes.
Service and Attention to Detail
What truly set this cruise apart was the amazing service and attention to detail. The Disney crew members went above and beyond to ensure that every aspect of our trip was magical. From the moment we stepped onboard to the day we disembarked, we were treated with warmth and hospitality. The crew’s dedication to creating a magical experience was evident in everything they did, making us feel like we were part of the Disney family. I truly love the rotational dining and having the same servers every night. My kid’s drinks (apple juice and milk) would be waiting for them each night when we arrived at dinner. Our stateroom attendant was so sweet and left the most amazing blanket animals and delicious chocolates for us each night!
A Convenient and Stress-Free Experience
The smaller size of the Disney Magic also contributed to a more intimate and relaxed atmosphere. We never felt rushed or overcrowded. The convenience of getting around the ship quickly meant we could make the most of our time, whether it was attending a show, participating in an activity, relaxing by the pool or dropping the kids off at the Oceaneer’s Club.
