Hurly-Burly brings a whole new nightlife experience to Disney’s BoardWalk.
When most people think of Walt Disney World, they picture character meet-and-greets, thrilling attractions, and magical moments with their families. But as someone who loves experiencing Disney as an adult, I’m always looking for those special places where you can slow down, grab a drink, and enjoy a different side of the magic.
During my recent visit, I discovered Hurly-Burly, the newest addition to Disney’s BoardWalk, which officially opened October 1, 2026. And ladies, whether you’re traveling solo, planning a girls’ getaway, enjoying a date night, or simply looking for somewhere to unwind after a long park day, this is one you’ll want to add to your list!
Even better? There’s no cover charge and reservations aren’t required!
A Little BoardWalk Charm With a Theatrical Twist

Located along Disney’s BoardWalk, Hurly-Burly combines the nostalgic charm of an old-fashioned seaside entertainment venue with a stylish, modern lounge.
From the moment you walk inside, the atmosphere feels like stepping into a vintage theatre. Rich teal walls, gold accents, plush seating, dramatic stage curtains, and whimsical details create a space that’s both sophisticated and playful.
It’s the kind of place where you can dress up for a date night or walk in after spending the entire day exploring the parks.
And one of my favorite things about it? You don’t need to be staying at Disney’s BoardWalk Inn to enjoy it!
Family-Friendly Fun Before 9 PM
Here’s something that makes Hurly-Burly particularly unique: it offers two different experiences depending on when you visit.
Before 9 PM, guests of all ages are welcome to enjoy the lounge, including interactive Disney-themed games and entertainment.
During my visit, we played music trivia, specifically a round of “Name That Song,” and it was such a fun way to spend the evening There was something entertaining about sipping a glass of wine, trying to recognize songs before everyone else, and enjoying the playful atmosphere.
If you’re visiting Disney with children but still want an evening activity that feels a little different from the parks, this is a great option before the adults-only hours begin.
After 9 PM, the Adults Take Over!
Now, this is where Hurly-Burly really caught my attention.
At 9 PM, Hurly-Burly transitions into a 21-and-over lounge, remaining open until 1 AM.
The Hurly-Burly Theatre stage sets the scene for an evening of entertainment.
The atmosphere shifts from family-friendly games to an adults-only nightlife experience featuring live music and entertainment.
And the musical variety is fantastic! Depending on the evening, you can enjoy everything from Motown and Top 40 hits to modern vintage sounds and favorites from the ’70s, ’80s, and ’90s.
Whether you’re in the mood to sing along to familiar favorites, enjoy a little nostalgia, or simply relax with a cocktail while listening to live performers, there’s something for everyone.
And did I mention reservations aren’t required? That’s a huge perk, especially when you’re looking for a spontaneous night out without having to purchase tickets or plan another reservation. Our wait time was quoted as 5-10 minutes but were seated in two.
I especially love that Disney is continuing to offer more nightlife experiences for adults who aren’t necessarily interested in ending their evening when the parks close.
Cocktails, Small Plates, and a Little Something Sweet
Let’s talk about another important part of any good girls’ night: the food and drinks!
Hurly-Burly offers a selection of cocktails, wine, beer, small plates, and desserts, making it an ideal stop when you’re not necessarily looking for a full sit-down dinner. And sometimes, that’s exactly what you want after a long Disney day!
During my visit, I enjoyed a glass of sparkling wine and a sweet treat featuring warm, apple cider donuts served with a rich caramel dipping sauce. I am a sucker for beautiful stemware and Hurly Burly definitely delivered!
The small-plate concept is perfect for sharing with girlfriends, enjoying a light bite before heading elsewhere, or treating yourself to dessert and a cocktail. You don’t always need an elaborate dining reservation to have a memorable evening at Disney. Sometimes a good glass of wine, a delicious dessert, and a little live entertainment are more than enough.
Whether you’re in the mood to sing along to familiar favorites, enjoy a little nostalgia, or simply relax with a cocktail while listening to live performers, there’s something for everyone.
The Outdoor Bar Has One of My Favorite Views
If you prefer a more relaxed atmosphere, don’t overlook the outdoor bar.
Situated directly along the BoardWalk, the outdoor seating offers beautiful views across Crescent Lake, with the lights reflecting off the water and EPCOT’s iconic Spaceship Earth glowing in the distance.
During our visit, Spaceship Earth was illuminated in a gorgeous blue, creating one of those picture-perfect Disney moments.
It’s especially beautiful in the evening, when the BoardWalk lights come on and everything takes on that peaceful waterfront atmosphere. I could easily see myself sitting outside with a cocktail, enjoying the breeze, and simply taking in the view. For a date night, it’s romantic without being overly formal. For a solo traveler, it’s a wonderful place to unwind. And for a girls’ trip? It’s the perfect backdrop for catching up over drinks.
Why I Think Hurly-Burly Is Perfect for Disney Adults
One thing I always like to remind my clients is that Walt Disney World isn’t just for families with young children.
There’s an entirely different side of Disney waiting to be experienced, especially when you slow down and explore the resorts, restaurants, lounges, and entertainment outside the theme parks.
Hurly-Burly is exactly the kind of experience I love recommending.
If you’re a single lady traveling to Disney, you don’t have to wait for a romantic getaway or a large group to enjoy a great evening out. Grab a seat at the bar, order your favorite drink, and enjoy the atmosphere.
If you’re planning a date night, this is a fun alternative to another traditional dinner reservation.
And if you’re organizing a girls’ getaway, I can’t think of a much better way to end the evening than with cocktails, music, dessert, and a beautiful waterfront setting.
It’s casual enough to feel comfortable but still has that special atmosphere that makes an ordinary evening feel like an experience. It’s one of those activities you can easily add to your Disney vacation without planning every minute of your evening.
My Final Thoughts
I thoroughly enjoyed my experience at Hurly-Burly. The music trivia was entertaining, the atmosphere was inviting, and the setting was beautiful.
Whether you’re looking for a quick drink after EPCOT, a fun evening with girlfriends, a casual date night, or a little solo time after a busy day, Hurly-Burly deserves a spot on your Disney itinerary.
Because sometimes the best Disney memories aren’t made on a ride or in front of the castle. Sometimes they’re made with a glass of wine in your hand, good music playing, and Spaceship Earth glowing across the water.
