Pickleball in Paradise presents “Battle in the Bahamas”, a round robin, skill level Pickleball tournament. Skill levels 3.0, 3.5, 4.0+. Limited to 24 players by skill level 3.0, 3.5 & 4.0+. Each bracket will be capped at 8 players, split into pods. In the event that one bracket is not full and another bracket has a waitlist, numbers may be modified at TD discretion.
Trip dates are 11/6/23 – 11/10/23 with round robin tournament play on 11/7, 11/8 & 11/9. Each bracket will have matches on all 3 days.
Wins and points will be accumulated by each individual player on each day of tournament play. Players will be determined by cumulative wins and points after the final day of play and announced at the Awards Dinner that evening. The tournament is co-ed doubles. You do not need a partner to register! Players will be placed into skill-leveled based pods daily through a blind draw. Each player will play one game to 15 against every other player in their pod. Pods will be mixed as much as possible over the course of the 3 days so that you play with as many people as possible within your bracket. Format may be changed at tournament directors’ discretion based on total entries.
Tournament play will be held each morning, leaving the afternoon free to enjoy all of the amenities of the resort. The pickleball courts are available for our guests the entire time we are onsite, so feel free to hit the courts again for open play in the afternoon or evening!
This is an outdoor tournament and there is no indoor venue available. In the event of inclement weather, every effort will be made to continue play at alternative times and format may be changed at TD discretion.
In order to play in the tournament, you must reserve your room at Sandals Royal Bahamian through Straightaway Travel. Only guests registered through Straight Away Travel are eligible for tournament entry. Please indicate on your deposit form if you are playing in the tournament, if your roommate is playing in the tournament and the skill level bracket you wish to enter. You do not have to play in the tournament to come on the trip!
Sandals Royal Bahamian is an all-inclusive resort. Everything needed for a fantastic vacation is included except for your airfare! Non-playing friends and spouses are welcome! We do not charge extra for entry into the round robin tournament or any pickleball activities, so non-playing friends and spouses get to enjoy a Caribbean vacation at the same great value!
